For riders who want deep snow and hard work.

Trip itinerary

3 to 6 hours, depending on the endurance of the participants.

We ride into deep snow. We look for the places where, on the usual routes, you hear "we're not going there", and then we go there.

Expect powder snow, drifts and natural obstacles. You will dig snowmobiles out, pull them with ropes and make tracks where there were none. Good technique matters here, but so do fitness and working as a team.

You also navigate. The guide sets the goal and gives you the tools and maps, then you make the decisions in the field. The guide watches over safety and decides whether each section is realistic for your team.

This tour is for people who trust their own abilities and are in good physical shape.

In our experience: you will find muscles you never knew you had. The tour takes full effort and concentration, so expect a lot of adrenaline. If you enjoy hard physical challenges, you will feel at home here.

We do not run this tour below -25°C, because it is not safe. In severe frost, we move it to another date.

Guests and requirements

We take 1 to 8 riders. A single rider pays a slightly higher price, because the cost of preparing the tour is the same for any group size.
Drivers must be 18 or older and hold a valid category A or B driving licence.
A Swedish snowmobile licence is not required, because riding with our guide covers it.
Every driver completes a short skills check during the safety training.
Passengers must be at least 12 years old.
A local guide is also included.
Guests also need their own travel and activity insurance.

When to come

Snowmobile tours run from December to March, but late November and April are sometimes possible, snow permitting.

Luleå Airport (LLA) is 1 hour 20 minutes from Vidsel, and Skellefteå Airport (SFT) 2 hours 10 minutes. Both are approximate winter driving times.
